Our School Curriculum

St. Saviour’s C of E Curriculum

St. Saviour’s C of E Primary school curriculum is designed to ensure that all pupils have access to all that the National Curriculum offers and more. For details about the National Curriculum, please follow this link.

The National Curriculum subjects have been organised into themes with consideration given to how learning within each subject is connected and sequenced (where curriculum content is not strengthened or supported by a thematic approach, it is taught in discrete lessons).

We aim to provide a rich and varied curriculum, which has at its roots our Christian school values: perseverance, courage, care, forgiveness, honesty and respect. Promoting diversity and acceptance of all, our curriculum celebrates the cultural heritage of our children and wider community, yet ensures that our children are well-prepared for life in modern Britain. Through our curriculum, we seek to recognize and nurture individual talents to enable all children to experience successes and to reach their full potential. Our school curriculum provides, ‘Opportunities without Limits’: opportunities that will expand horizons and raise aspirations.

By working as a TEAM, our children enjoy learning through, and with, our skilled and dedicated staff, providing high levels of education, pastoral care, support and guidance. We take pride in working closely with our families to create a strong relationships that support our children both in and out of school.  We are fortunate to have a dedicated Pastoral Team who are able to assist children and families as well as signpost to outside agencies where needed.

We are proud of the provision that is put in place throughout our curriculum to meet the needs of children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities and how we make learning accessible to them. For further details about SEND please follow this link.
